OPEN COMMUNICATION IS VITAL IN GOVERNMENT

Too often the level of communication and community engagement drops off after the election.
I believe that it is critical to keep up the level of communication and create opportunities for engagement with Town Hall meetings, quarterly recaps from City Council Meetings and the publication of a scorecard so the citizens can have the ability to hold their elected officials to a higher level of accountability.
We are facing some big challenges and in my opinion, community engagement and awareness of the issues, actions and trade-offs are essential to bringing everyone along and making the best decision possible.
